EN COURS
Local Films was founded in the early 2000s by Nicolas Brevière. Based in Paris, the company has produced more than 100 films of all formats. Our most recent productions include: A German Youth by Jean-Gabriel Périot (Berlin, Panorama), God, My Mother and Me by Uruguayan filmmaker Federico Viejoz (San Sebastian, Toronto), Azor by Swiss director Andreas Fontana (Berlin, San Sebastian – Horizontes Latinos), Angry Annie by Blandine Lenoir (Locarno), and Young Cinema by Yves-Marie Mahé (Rotterdam, La Rochelle).
Our mission remains the same: to support filmmakers as often as possible from their very beginnings in short films through to the production of their feature films, or to forge new collaborations with international filmmakers to produce their next works, such as Canadian director Bruce LaBruce (Third Take) or Spanish filmmaker Arnau Vilaró (Hombres y Días).
International co-productions have therefore become an important part of our lineup, with films such as Summer Lights (Japan), Who’s Afraid of Vagina Wolf (United States), A German Youth (Switzerland, Germany), Nomads (Morocco), and Azor (Argentina, Switzerland).
