TRAILER
Born in Antibes. Julien Donada is a filmmaker and photographer. The common point between his fictional films, documentaries and photography: architecture, town planning and therefore the city. Urban space is a great playground, documentary, photographic and fictional: It is around the magnetic personality of an actor, that of Daniel Duval, that Beau Rivage is built in his first feature film. Always anxious to film architectures in a singular way, Donada creates a suffocating frame, catalyzing the obsessions of his character, who invents a past from scratch. The resurgence of a bygone era was, moreover, a resurgent motif of several of the director's short films. (Hôtel Provençal, summer 76, (2007), A San Rémo (2003) etc. Among the films made, we will note the LM: “Beau Rivage” (2011), and several often personal documentaries: “Un sol brûlante sous nos pas” (2022) “Divine Victorine” (2019) but also “La folle histoire du Center Pompidou” "(2017), the strange story of an urban experience (2016), the Unal house (2014) etc ...
