SYNOPSIS

Jeanne, a forty year old film director, faces a hard lack of inspiration. Convinced by her sister, she pulls herself together and accepts a tour in her native land to promote her second film.
During this week-long sociocultural trip, she meets passionate movie fans, cultured hikers, a militant director of vacation centers, a charmer estate agent, an out-going actress, an attentive documentary producer and above all a still attractive former lover. But above all, with the support of the young crew following her, she will discover the very meaning she must give to her life.

After studying applied arts, Claude DUTY began a career as an advertising graphic designer in Rouen. He started making amateur films, transitioning from Super 8 to 16 mm, and then from 16 mm to 35 mm. He went on to direct 21 short films at a pace of one per year, including *Le Courant d'air* (1974), *Poppée* (1982), *Ménage à froid* (1991), and *Le Goût du couscous* (2000). His approach is playful and offbeat, deconstructing clichés and conventions while experimenting with the "living" material of cinema, for instance by scratching film stock. Claude Duty also worked on Canal+'s short program for almost six years.

In 2001, he directed his first feature film, *Filles perdues, cheveux gras*, the intersecting journey of three lost young women, with Marina FOIS, Amira CASAR, and Olivia BONAMY in the lead roles. Following this success, Claude DUTY reunited with Marina FOIS for *Bienvenue au gîte*, a comedy about the tribulations of a Parisian couple who become owners of a guesthouse in the south of France.

In 2012, Claude DUTY embarked on his third feature film alongside Noémie LVOVSKY, Marie KREMER, and Judith GODRÈCHE.
