TRAILER

Born in Antibes. Julien Donada is a filmmaker and photographer. What his fiction films, documentaries and photography have in common is architecture, urbanism and the city. Urban space is a great playground for documentary, photography and fiction: His first feature film, Beau rivage, is built around Daniel Duval's magnetic acting personality. Always keen to film architecture in a singular way, Donada creates a stifling setting, catalyzing the obsessions of his character, who invents a past from scratch. The resurgence of a bygone era was a recurring motif in several of the director's short films. (Hôtel Provençal, été 76, (2007), A San Rémo (2003) etc.). Among the films he has made are LM: “Beau Rivage” (2011), and several often personal documentaries: “Un sol brûlant sous nos pas” (2022) “Divine Victorine” (2019) as well as “La folle histoire du Centre Pompidou” (2017), l'étrange histoire d'une expérience urbaine (2016), la maison Unal (2014) etc.
