SYNOPSIS
The day after her 40th birthday, Anna comes to the conclusion that the madness has to stop. Once an adventurous jet setter and carefree bohemian, she now lives in her friend’s garage with a stalled career. And if that wasn’t bad enough, it’s been ten years since she’s been in a relationship.
She’s stuck and quickly losing hope in life : something has to change ! And it does when
she meets Katia : the art school’s wunderkind. Anna devises a plan to make her long held dreams come true : make a film, find love, and lose 40 pounds …

Anna Margarita Albelo
Born in Miami in a Cuban family, Ana Margarita Albelo studied at an Amercian university in Florida before leaving for Europe. She obtained a scholarship to attend a film school in London. Since 1993, she lives and works in Paris.
Anna is a film and video-maker and a journalism. Her work blends with humor different styles such a classical narration, experimental films, documentary, and video clip. Her films have been shown and nominated in more than 30 festivals worldwide.
Anna works regularly with Canal+, she wrote and directed three original documentaries, such as "Weekend in Palm Springs", celebrated in several films, and the short fiction film "the turkey" starring the French singer "Sheila".
With "Papaya factory" script, Anna took part of "All access" progrm from Tribeca's Festival in New York City, which supports independent filmmakers to develop feature films projects.
In 2014, "Who's afraid of Vagina Wolf?" her first feature film is released.
